Summer+Sun Safety

After surviving two loooong, wet winters in Belgium, and one lock-down winter in SA, we are so happy to see and enjoy the sun in South Africa for this year! We are so lucky with the beautiful warm, long days, our stunning beaches (when we can go to them) and even our yards with private … Continue reading Summer+Sun Safety →

Vomit – Poop – Treat!

Chronic diarrhoea is diagnosed when your child has diarrhoea for most days for more than 4 weeks. That is not fun for anyone involved. While most episodes of diarrhoea are mostly self-limiting and mostly does not need any investigations, there are a few things the doctor should check for when it becomes chronic. (I repeat … Continue reading Vomit – Poop – Treat! →

Vomit – Poop – Repeat.

When Eran was 8 months old we woke one night to a cot full of vomit. Things deteriorated from there. Two days of diarrhoea (with stools leaking through everything) and vomiting with a mild fever followed. I am grateful that it was a very mild episode and he was never dehydrated, but I still had … Continue reading Vomit – Poop – Repeat. →

In medicine it is used to determine how urgently you need to be treated in the light of the severity of your symptoms. Most casualties and emergency units use some sort of triage system to manage the flow of patients. Children will … Continue reading Triage at home →

This is a short, simple but very faith-filled, powerful verse to teach your children! Do YOU believe it?
Summer is a time for lots of outside play, hiking, swimming and staying outside when the heat starts to fade in the evenings. Unfortunately these are all prime spots for bugs to spoil your fun! So how do you prevent insect bites? And if you are too late to prevent them, how do you treat it?
I cannot believe it has been 4weeks of playing along with the @groeipyltjie digital playgroup! We have settled into a routine and have had so much fun! We just completed the 9month old class.
Did you see our big announcement on my stories last night??
#kidsmemoryverse2021
The beaches are officially open (WHOOHOOOO) and one of South Africa's warmest months have started! We are so excited to spend as many hours as possible outside!!
